Women's Rugby in Queensland
There are a range of opportunities for Women to play Rugby Union in Queensland. Club competitions are run in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Central Queensland and each year Queensland Rugby Union sends a Queensland side to the ARU National Championships.
National Women's Championships
The 2009 National Women's Championship will be held at Tallebudgera Active Recreation Centre on the Gold Coast (1525 Gold Coast Hwy, North) 29 June-3 July.

Queensland has a proud tradition of providing players to the National Women's Rugby team.
Seven members of the 2008 Queensland Women's team were selected in the national side, with three of them also making the 08 Australian 7s squad.
Queensland representatives are:
Wallaroos: Iliseva Batibasaga, Tasileta Bethell, Vanessa Bradley, Trisha Brown, Sarah Hind, Se'ei Sa'u, Selena Tranter
Australian 7's: Iliseva Batibasaga, Trisha Brown, Selena Tranter
Cassandra Nunn, Peta Rogerson and Rebecca Tavo joined Batibasaga, Brown and Tranter in the squad of 22 for the 2009 Sevens World Cup in Dubai.
