Junior Rugby Overview
There are over 90 junior clubs throughout Queensland with over 14,000 registered players. Competitions are provided for a variety of ages from Under 6 to Under 17.
The governing body of junior club rugby in the State is Queensland Junior Rugby Union Inc. (QJRU). The QJRU has eight regional affiliates who manage their own competitions during the year.
The affiliates are:
Brisbane JRU, Cairns & District JRU, Darling Downs JRU
Rugby Gold Coast. Mackay District JRU, Rockhampton JRU,
Sunshine Coast JRU, Townsville & District JRU.
The aim of the QJRU and its affiliates is to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for children playing the great game of Rugby.
Queensland Junior Rugby Union Inc. is the governing body of Junior Club Rugby in the State.
Each year a Management Committee is elected to oversee the direction and management of junior club competitions in Queensland.
