Mr Peter Lewis B. Com (UQ) - Chairman
Peter Lewis is the founder and Executive Deputy Chairman of the Trinity Group Ltd., a listed property company based in Brisbane. He is also a director of CVC Trinity Ltd., a Sydney-based property company. He became a QRU director in March 2006.
Mr Michael Glover - Finance Director
Michael Glover is Chief Financial Officer of CNI Pty Ltd. He has been heavily involved in the development of junior rugby in Queensland, across clubs and schools, including as a committee member on the Queensland Junior Rugby Union. He became a QRU director in March 2006.
Mr Peter Carroll
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Peter Carroll was a Partner in the international firm of Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu for a number of years until his retirement as a Partner in September of 2003.
Currently Mr Carroll consults to a leading law firm in Brisbane (Gadens) and holds directorships in a number of listed and unlisted companies.
He served on the committee at the Tattersall Club for five years including three years as President. He has also been a director and Chairman of the Sunnybank Rugby Union Club Inc. He became a QRU director in April 2008.
Mr W. M. Colwell B.Com (UQ) CA
Will Colwell is a Partner at Ferrier Hodgson, Asia Pacific's leading corporate recovery & restructuring firm, and has been involved in some of Australia's largest insolvency matters. Will has had a long association with the GPS club beginning in 1987 as a player and later as a coach and as Treasurer, playing a key role in rebuilding the club during the 1990s. Will is currently involved at Brothers' Juniors where his three sons play. Will joined the board in May 2005 and is 40 years old.
Mr Ken Freer
Ken Freer was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Director on 31 July 2006. Ken is a former Managing Director of Lion Nathan and General Manager of the Gold Coast Indy.
Mr Col Harkness
Col Harkness is a practicing lawyer who holds a number of Director positions. He is a former President of the Queensland Country Rugby Union. He joined the QRU Board in December 2005.
Mr Ben Tune - Players' representative
Ben was appointed a Director in April 2006. He has played 46 Tests for Australia and has won more than 85 caps for Queensland, in a playing career that stretches back more than a decade. Ben is a successful businessman in his own right, as a client relations manager and banking franchise owner.
Mr Ross Williams LLB, ArbIAMA, FAIM
Ross Williams has been a Director since November 2002. He is a Partner of Ebsworth & Ebsworth, Lawyers and sits on the firm's National Board. Ross is a graded arbitrator; a Director of Mount Olivet Hospital, Saint Vincent's Hospital Toowoomba and the Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital; a past president of the Queensland Rugby Union Club; and the Honorary Solicitor and Life Member of the Royal Life Saving Association.
Mr Steven Wilson BCom, LLB (UQ), Hon PhD (QUT)
Steven Wilson is Executive Chairman of Wilson HTM Investment Group and has extensive other business experience including running a cattle and wine operation in the south Burnett district. He has served on many boards in business and community including Telstra, Queensland Tourism, Salvation Army, City of Brisbane Airport and was Chairman of St John's Cathedral Completion Fund and South Bank for the last nine years during its formation. He joined the QRU Board in March 2006.
