Australian U20s beat Fiji
QAS Reds Academy products Ben Tapuai, Junior Sovala and Blair Connor performed strongly for the Australian Under 20s in their 53-17 victory over Fiji in the IRB Junior World Championship in Wales.
Outside centre Tapuai was named man of the match while Sovala and Connor each bagged two tries for the faster and more powerful Australian combination.
The Fijians play sparkled at times as they played with typical gusto and spirit of adventure, but Australia were simply too skilful and too well drilled and ruthlessly put away their Pacific neighbours.
QR Reds scrumhalf Will Genia was another try scorer for the Australians, who moved to the top of their pool and will now meet England on Saturday to determine who progresses to the IRB Junior World Championship semi-finals.
